Developmental toxicology test (DTT)

We offer a well-established evaluation of teratogenicity through a validated panel of phenotypes, which is designed to determine the following morphological core endpoints:
• Eye size and position
• Head shape
• Lower jaw shape
• Total body length
• Swim bladder infiltration
• Yolk size and shape
• Body axis
• Oedemas
• Ear and otoliths size
The method relies on the incubation of embryos with different concentrations of the molecule of interest from 0 to 120 hours post fertilization (hpf). After five days we are able to introduce an integral teratogenic profile of chemical providing data including:
- Panel of photographs documenting developmental defects in embryos exposed to different toxic compounds
- Graphs illustrating the mortality and percentage of the chosen defects
- Tables with raw data (if required)
At the customer’s request we can provide more detailed analysis using
• Transgenic lines
• Immunohistochemistry method
• qPCR method
• behavioural testing
