Institute of Building Engineering is an organizational unit of the Faculty of Geodesy, Geospatial and Civil Engineering, at the University of Warmia - Mazury in Olsztyn. The Institute has been brought into existence since 1 January 2015.. The Institute currently employs 65 employees, including 6 independent scholars, 15 adjuncts, 11 assistants, 14 lecturers within following departments:

Department of Building Engineering and Building Physics,

Department of Geotechnics and Road Construction,

Department of Engineering Materials and Building Processes,

Department of Mechanics and Building Structures.

The Institute offers education in the field of civil engineering. The education takes two-cycle programs which are stationary and extramural: first degree education (Engineer) and second degree (Master). Graduates are awarded a title of an engineer of civil engineering and MSc. Of civil engineering.
