We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 4th Criminological Congress, which will take place on 24–25 September 2026 at the Conference and Training Centre of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland.

The honour of organising this edition of the event has been entrusted to the Department of Criminology and Criminalistics of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, in cooperation with the Professor Stanisław Batawia Polish Criminological Society.

The event will be accompanied by the ceremonial celebration of the 70th Jubilee of Professor Wiesław Pływaczewski – an outstanding scholar, pioneer of green criminology in Poland, and founder of the Olsztyn School of Eco-Criminology, whose scientific achievements have made a lasting contribution to the development of Polish criminological thought. The Jubilee will provide an opportunity to express the highest recognition for Professor Pływaczewski’s academic accomplishments.

The 4th Criminological Congress constitutes another edition of a scientific forum dedicated to in-depth reflection on the etiology of contemporary crime, its structure, and directions of evolution in the context of dynamic civilizational changes. The event is also intended to create a discussion platform integrating academic communities associated with criminological research, enabling the presentation of empirical and theoretical studies as well as their critical verification through scientific debate.

In the organisers’ opinion, bringing together the scientific community around such an important event will create a unique opportunity to intensify the dialogue between theory and practice, while also inspiring the development of new research directions in criminology.

It will be our great honour to welcome you to Olsztyn during this exceptional event.

Applications for participation in the Congress will be accepted until 30 June 2026.
