An International Student Conference on
Consumer protection in selected EU countries – current issues
.

The Consumer Protection Law Student Association together with The Chair of Commercial Law of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn cordially invite all Erasmus exchange students and all students of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the UWM to participate in an International Student Conference:

Consumer protection in selected EU countries – current issues

to be held on 16 April 2014
at the Faculty of Law and Administration in Olsztyn.

The organizers believe that the conference will be a good opportunity to present regulations and the most recent court verdicts in the area of consumer protection. We hope that the Conference will shed light on the current problems of consumer protection in EU member states; in particular, in food products, financial services, tourism, and electronic commerce.

The presentation should be prepared by at most 2 students.

Every presentation (and presenters) should have two scientific supervisors: one from the UWM and the other from their original university.

The deadline for submission of presentation topics is 10 February 2014.

The deadline for submission of presentations and papers for publication
is 15 March 2014.

The conference will be held in English.

It is expected that conference presentation papers will be published in the UWM internet law review “Kortowski Przegląd Prawniczy” (available at http://uwm.edu.pl/kpp/, each publication will be worth 2 points). The publication will be assigned an ISBN number. Each paper will have two supervisors: one from the UWM, and the other from the authors’ original university or universities. All supervisors will be invited to participate in the Scientific Committee for the conference and in reviewing/editing the submitted texts.

An email contact for all interested students is: konferencja.konsument@gmail.com

We very much look forward to seeing you there!

On behalf of the organizers:
