KATARZYNA BOJARUNIEC finished Primary and Secondary State Music School in Olsztyn (a diploma in the class of violin in 1992), and then graduated in conducting studies from the S. Moniuszko Music Academy in Gdańsk. After gaining her M.A. (Master of Music) she was employed  as  assistant lecturer at the Institute of Music of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn in 1998. Ever since she has been involved in intense artistic and pedagogical activity. In 2002 on the basis of the qualifying registration and conferment procedure for a doctoral degree at the Department of Composition, Theory of Music, Rhythmics and Artistic Education at the G. and K. Bacewicz Music Academy of Łódz she earned the qualifications to be employed as assistant professor. Next, in 2009 on the basis of the thesis ''Litania Polska. Zagadnienie ekspresji muzycznej w interpretacji Litanii Polskiej Juliusza Łuciuka" (''Polish litany. The issue of musical expression in Juliusz Łuciuk's interpretation of Litania Polska''), in the postdoctoral degree conferral procedure at the Department of Choral Conducting, Music Education and Rhythmics of the S. Moniuszko Music Academy in Gdańsk she gained the title of assistant professor in the field of musical arts in the artistic discipline of conducting. In January 2011 she was employed as a professor of UWM in the Institute of Music of the Music department within the Department of the Arts at the University of Warmia.

Incessantly, as a conductress at the Institute of Music, within the framework of the course Choir, she has been involved in intensive concert activity with her student's ensembles - at first, with the female choir ''Donum Vocale", and then with the co-educational Choir ''Ars Vocale". She has received many awards and distinctions at all-Polish and international festivals as well as during music competitions, and also conducted a foreign tour of Latvia and  Germany with these ensembles.

Simultaneously, on the initiative of her students and that of her own, she set up a vocal ensemble ''Musica In Via" in April 2011 and she won a number of main  awards in all-Polish choral competitions and festivals in 2012.

She has been co-operating with professional musicians from Bydgoszcz, Gdańsk and Olsztyn. Up to this moment she has performed recordings of choral a cappella and vocal-instrumental music in the form of 7 CDs and DVDs. The conductress's concert repertoire encompasses numerous pieces of early and contemporary music, of Polish and foreign composers. In her programmes she displays a preference for the religious music of Polish contemporary composers. There are a great many first performances of Polish music in the conductress's output.

In 2007 the Olsztyn Chapter granted Katarzyna Bojaruniec an award and the title ''Talent Roku" (''Talent of the Year'') in the field of  music.

K. Bojaruniec actively participates in numerous all-Polish and international sessions and academic conferences, as well as in important organizational enterprises.
