University of Warmia and Masuria in Olsztyn

University of  Warmia and Masuria has twice been awarded the title of Students’ Friendliest University in the Country by the Students’ Parliament of the Republic of Poland.

DSC_7656Olsztyn is famous among students for its schools and higher educational establishments. The largest and best known is the University of  Warmia and Masuria (UWM) in Olsztyn. The university was established in September 1999, when three of institutions higher education merged.

UVM combines the 50-year-old tradition of the Higher Teacher Training College and the 450-year-old tradition of theological education in Warmia.

The University has sixteen faculties, which offer a variety of fields of study, such as: medicine, law, economics, humanities, pedagogy, theology, fine arts, veterinary medicine, agriculture, engineering, biology, mathematics.
