Poniżej zamieszczamy propozycję wspolpracy w ramach Instytucjonalnych Stypendiow MArie Curie -Resarch Training Network" W nowych kryteriach oceny jednym z punktow jest udzial nowych krajow czlonkowskich UE. Zachecam do skorzystania z propozycji.
Dear all,
please find here below a partner search in the field of Marie Curie Research Training Network.
The coordinator, an italian University, is looking for partner especially from the new member states and the candidate countries.
For your information the call identifier is FP6-2004-Mobility-1 and the closing date is 2/12/2004.
I hope it will be of interest for your researchers. I will collect and submit your expression of interest to the coordinator. Do not hesitate to contact me through email.
My best regards,
Chiara

<Description:
Ectomycorrhizal symbioses could be applied world-wide for the reconversion of unproductive agricultural areas since they increase plant health and accelerate growth improving forest profitability. Some ectomycorrhizal fungi produce edible sporocarps, including mushrooms and truffles, that are important for the food industry. Under a biological aspect the biochemical pathways and the molecular mechanisms controlling the morphogenesis of ectomycorrhizal fungi and their interactions with the host plants are mostly unknown. Moreover, up to now both certification methods for fungal symbionts and the commonly used inoculation procedures have proven to be inadequate for profitable utilisation and better management of recovery and cultivation processes. Only a deep knowledge on biochemical and molecular aspects of the ectomychorrizal symbiosis and on the environmental conditions allowing the survival of mychorrized plants, will permit efficient reforestation projects. Thus, the aims of the joint research training program are to overcome the current gaps in the know-how to increase the knowledge on ectomychorrizal symbiosis, to characterise ectomycorrhizal fungi within their biodiversity, to exploit molecular tools for the identification and certification of fungi during their life cycle and to set up efficient systems for mycorrhizal-seedling production. The complexity of the symbiotic interaction request the involvement of different groups with different expertise (molecular biologists, biochemists, cell biologists, mycologists, ecologists and plant physiologists) since are many the aspects to be analysed. The network will allow to the participant to increase their methodological knowledge, and to extend the study performed on a biological system to another one. The results obtained will be collected on an ectomychorrizal database, that will represent an useful tool to transfer mycological information to farmers, foresters and other practitioners.>
<Eligible Researchers
This action will be directed at early stage researchers, for the purpose of initial training (including within the frame of doctoral studies) while experienced researchers will be eligible with respect to the needs of transfer of knowledge in the project. Researchers with more than 10 years of research experience (full-time equivalent), counting from the time the degree/diploma was obtained giving access to embark on a doctorate8 in the country where it has been awarded, will not be eligible for selection. Projects that are clearly multi-/interdisciplinary, intersectoral and/or genuinely leadingedge might require a larger proportion of experienced researchers; otherwise networks are to concentrate on early stage researchers. Each researcher will establish, together with his/her personal supervisor, a Personal Career Development Plan comprising his/her training needs and scientific objectives and later on report upon the success with which these objectives were met. In this way the researchers will be encouraged to play an active role in shaping their own training programme and professional development. The training opportunities for researchers within the coherent training and mobility scheme provided by the project may range from 3 months to 3 years. In the case of a researcher being seconded to another participant for a period of more than 30 % of the total period of recruitment, he/she will have to be recruited by this other participant.
