  • transport through the membranes
  • development of measurement methods
  • electroporation
  • mechanisms of BLM formation process

The following electrical measurement methods for membrane studies were used:

  • Recording of membrane capacitance - studies of membrane formation process, measurments of membrane thickness, studies of membrane thickness changes caused by membrane potential.
  • Cyclic voltammetry - measurement of membrane resistance, investigation of transport processes.
  • Chronoamperometry - investigation of transport processes.
  • Capacitance-voltage characteristics - investigation of surface potentials.
  • Chronopotentiometry - studies of mechanism of electroporation phenomenon - generation of single pore in membrane.
