RESEARCH POSITION
IN MOLECULAR GENETICS/BIOLOGY
within European Union Marie Curie Transfer of Knowledge proposal entitled
"Genomic approaches for Crop Improvement (GenCrop)"
  


 

  

We offer a number of positions totalling in 46 person-months to researchers whose main place of work is outside Poland. The applicants should be active in plant genomics, plant biotechnology and molecular evolution of plants.

TWO KINDS OF POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE

  1. people with 4-10 years experience with a stipend 1 700 Euro per month
    this for young people with at least 4 years since gaining a university degree giving him/her access to doctoral studies or for all who have just completed their Ph.D. and look for more experience to gain higher position in
    future.
  2. for more experienced researchers (4-10 years of experience) with a stipend 2 600 Euro per month

THE MAIN DUTIES OF THE INCLUDE:

  • conducting lectures/seminars/workshops
  • tutoring
  • research in collaboration with local staff.

    • We are looking for open minded people, ready to take up a new challenge, to discover with us the enormous potential of genomics and to fulfil the career aspirations working as an expert.

    WE ARE OFFERING

  • the several positions for 2-4 months
  • travel allowance covering one journey between usual place of work and Olsztyn
  • the new lab infrastructure with facilities to molecular analyses and in vitro cultures,
  • the possibility to gain experience as an expert,
  • nice and open-minded people,
  • clean and beautiful environment with postglacial lakes, forests and peat-bogs.

    • Demands

  • ability to work with an international team,
  • ability to work towards deadlines,
  • depending on position experience in some of molecular techniques (molecular markers, molecular cloning, gene sequencing, expression analysis, genetic mapping, QTL mapping etc.)
