On 30.07.2014, we completed an environmental inventory count, prepared by UWM employees, Jacek J. Nowakowski, Ph.D. - ecologist and ornithologists, Andrzej Górski, Ph.D.- zoologist and Krzysztof Lewandowski, M.Sc. - ecologist, zoologist. They carried out multiple observations and research. As follows from the inventory count, there are no bats in the buildings intended for thermal efficiency improvement. On the other hand, 4 species of birds are nesting there: common swifts (20 pairs), redstarts (1 pair), sparrows (6 pairs) and jackdaws (42 pairs).
The first news concerning the project and the amount of financing from the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism was published on the website of the University of Warmia and Mazury.
On 23.05.2014, the UWM received a grand award notification, with a request to compile documents necessary to sign the contract.
On 08.05.2014, the Committee for the Choice of the Projects of the Operating Project PL 04 “Saving energy and promoting renewable energy sources” under the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism adopted a resolution on approving the ranking list of subsidized projects.
The UWM project was ranked 20th on this list among 38 admitted projects, obtaining 100% of applied subsidies. It was granted the highest amount of subsidies of all admitted projects. The second largest subsidy amount was less than PLN 6.2 million.
