Zebrafish - workshop

The Polish “Zebrafish” Society invites you to take part in the third workshop on zebrafish – basic concepts and techniques

The workshop will be held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (ul. Oczapowskiego 13 and 14). The training is intended mainly for those who are beginning or intending to begin studies with zebrafish (Danio rerio) as the model organism. The training will include lectures and classes whose aim is to provide the participants with knowledge on breeding the zebrafish, the possibilities of using it in research and the basic techniques applied in scientific research in which this model organism is used. The training will be devoted to such issues and toxicological tests, high throughput screening, micro-injections, CRISPR / Cas9, microscopic micro-imaging and behavioural analyses.

 

If you want to take part in the training, please send an application with a brief motivational letter (max. 250 words) in Polish to zebrafish.pl@gmail.com. If the number of applications is so large that conducting the training properly is impossible, the participants will be selected on the basis of their motivational letters.

 

Participation in the Workshop on the first day (theoretical part) is free of charge, open to everyone interested in the subject (no registration required).

Fee: PLN 100 (participation in the training, lunch, coffee break and the networking meeting)
