The University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn invites everybody to take a virtual walk around its campus. Videos in a 360-degree perspective will allow us to look inside modern laboratories, classrooms and lecture halls of the largest university in north-eastern Poland. This virtual walk is guided by UWM employees and students, who will describe the specific faculty and tell you more about studying at UWM. To take a virtual tour you do not need any special technique or sophisticated applications. All you need is a regular smartphone, tablet or computer.
To watch the video, you need to use the link to the video published on the Kortowo TV YouTube channel – the service will detect the type of device and start playing the video. If you are using a smartphone, just move your phone to look around, or swipe the screen.
If you are using a computer, use the cursor to look around – just point to the video, click the left mouse button and move to the direction of your interest.
You can stop the video at any time and take a look at the state-of-the-art equipment in classrooms and laboratories.
But that is not all!
If you have 3D glasses, you can experience full immersion and plunge into the virtual world almost entirely!
On the smartphone screen, a 3D glasses icon will be displayed in the right corner, and when you press it, the video will be available in a stereoscopic version. This version is designed to work with special glasses. By displaying the image from two different angles, you will get the full three-dimensional effect.
To enjoy such an effect, you don't need to have high price sophisticated goggles – special phone holders, available at easily affordable prices, will suffice.
Virtual walks are part of the #kierunekUWM campaign promoting studies at the green campus of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.
