The programme includes lectures, laboratories, workshops and exhibitions. The classes have been designed in such a way which allows everyone to find something for themselves. There will also be a science café where in cosy conditions you will be able to talk with real scientists.
The Night of the Biologists aims at popularizing science and institutions dealing with the issues of nature through interesting presentations, workshops, talks, lectures, laboratory tours, exhibitions, discussions and materials available in the local press, on radio, television and via the Internet (including blogs and social networks). The aim is also to present basic but important issues broadening public awareness on the functioning of the natural world (including bio-economy issues, biotechnology, human health or environmental protection) as well as issues which cause a lot of controversy (including genetically modified organisms – or GMOs – renewable energy from biomass, transplantation, and sustainable development).
